Sydney Tea Festival 2016

Inspiring People to Discover, Experience and Connect with the Adventure of Specialty Tea – See you there!

Held on Sunday 21 August at Carriageworks, Eveleigh, the Sydney Tea Festival is a celebration of specialty loose leaf tea.

Wander through the tea market and discover some of the best artisanal teas around, grab a bite to eat from a food truck, indulge in a sweet treat or sit down and enjoy a cup of tea in the brew lounge.

There’s also workshops hosted by leading specialists where you can participate in a tea tasting, learn about tea basics, food pairing, blending and ceremonies or just discover more about the history and health benefits of tea.

The Tea Market

The tea market features dozens of stallholders – tea brands with specialty loose leaf tea and tisanes of all styles; food purveyors with tempting sweet and savoury treats, along with food trucks for something bigger to snack on; ceramic artists and makers of beautiful homeware and teaware. There’s also a Brew Lounge where you can sit and enjoy a cup of tea and listen to music. Tickets to the tea market go onsale in the weeks leading up to the event. Festival tasting cups are included in the ticket price.

Open from 9.00am – 4.00pm

Tea Workshops

The workshop space is where you can immerse yourself in the world of tea with some of Australia’s leading tea specialists, as they host educational talks, tastings, demonstrations and hands-on sessions. Tickets are available  before the festival, online.
